L’associazione senza scopo di lucro che coordina e promuove lo sviluppo della moda è la Camera Nazionale della moda, ora guidata da Carlo Capasa. Nasce nel 1958 a Roma e oggi si stabilisce a Milano e rappresenta tutti i più alti valori culturali del Italian fashion. Questa associazione ha perseguito una politica di supporto organizzativo finalizzata alla conoscenza, alla promozione e allo sviluppo della moda attraverso eventi di alto profilo in Italia e all’estero. Il talento della moda giovane e creativa viene promosso anche in Italia, come nell’annuale concorso per giovani stilisti ITS (International Talent Support Awards) a Trieste.

Il ruolo della Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana e veramente molto impegnativo essendo l’Italia uno dei maggiori esponenti al mondo di moda. La Camera nazionale della moda italiana è senza scopo di lucro, il cui fine è la promozione, il coordinamento del settore della moda italiana e la formazione dei giovani capi di moda italiani. Fu creata nel 1958, diretta discendente del Sindacato Italiano Alta Moda.
